DENTAL CONGRESSES AND EXHIBITIONS ACROSS THE GLOBE

Dentistry in this new era is certainly getting exciting with each passing year. I have been visiting the following conferences and exhibitions regulary and religiously. 

1. IDS in Cologne (koln) Germany
2. IDEM SINGAPORE
3.AEEDC Dubai
4. FDI annual world dental congress.

NOTHING MATCHES THE INTERNATIONAL DENTAL SHOW IDS thats held every alternate year since the past 8 decades. 

About 2500 or more exhibitors and booths are displayed across 8 to 10 huge exhibition halls.

The latest in technology in dentistry, its applications and success everything can be seen at the IDS.

For dealers across the globe it means big business. As well for the companies.
While many of the companies do not have their distribution network in all countries, it gives a great opportunity for visitors to select and order for products of their choice directly from the manufacturer at a good price.

Its a huge platform to meet so many people of international repute at the IDS. The parties organised by the companies in the evenings are a treat to watch and a thing not to be missed.

I have been to this magnificient event 4 times, and it still continues to amaze!
Every dentist on this planet who wants to upgrade himself/herself always in life should make it a point to certainly attend the IDS atleast once in life! AFTER ALL,  AN EVENT ATTENDED BY MORE THAN 250,000 visitors certainly has to be amazing!
Make sure you book your stay in cologne a few months in advance. THERE ARE MANY HOTELS AS WELL AS YOUTH HOSTELS that offer affordable stay in Germany. IF STAY ISN'T AVAILABLE IN KOLN, visitor can book hotel or youth hostel in Dusseldorf or Bonn. Its very well connected to the Koelnmesse.

IDEM SINGAPORE and AEEDC Dubai are the respective congresses of their particular region, and the attendees are mostly from adjacent countries. These also like the IDS are a good platform to meet up few stalwarts in the field, connect with companies who dont have presence in our countries, see and order stuff from the exhibitions.

FDI is held at a different location every year. Unlike the IDS, Idem or AEEDC, FDI is more academic, has a very good scientific program, lectures, women dentist forum, and it more or less connects the dental associations of the globe.

I have never been to the exhibitions in the UK or the USA..

I Hope to visit there soon in near future and shall share the information.
